Brendon Ayanbadejo Bio

Brendon Ayanbadejo is an American former professional football player born in Chicago, Illinois on September 6, 1976. He played in both the Canadian Football League and the National Football League for thirteen seasons from 1999 to 2012. Ayanbadejo played football in high school at Santa Cruz High School as a tight end. He went on to play college football at The University of California, Los Angeles for the UCLA Bruins. In 1999 he was signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent. He played on the practice squad until he was picked up by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. In 2003 he returned to the NFL and was signed with the Miami Dolphins and was traded to the Chicago Bears in 2005. In 2008 he was signed to a four year contract with the Baltimore Ravens for $4.9 million with a $1.9 million signing bonus. Ayanbadejo became a Super Bowl champion in 2013 after the Ravens beat the 49ers 34-31 in Super Bowl XLVII. In 2013 he was released by the Ravens. Throughout his career he has recorded 252 tackles, 4.5 quarterback sacks, 2 interceptions, and 5 forced fumbles. In 2013 he was hired by Fox Sports to be an analyst on the Fox Sports 1 show Fox Football Daily.
