Brian Cox Bio

Brian Cox is an actor born on 1st June 1946 in Dundee, Scotland. He is widely recognized for his theatrical appearance, particularly in the role of King Lear. He went on to feature supporting roles in the biographical drama film “Rob Roy” in 1995 and “Braveheart” in the same year. He also became the first actor to play Hannibal Lecter in the psychological horror crime thriller film “Manhunter”. This made the breakthrough of his career in the film industry.

Through the ‘90s, he appeared in more than 20 television series and films. He also appeared as a guest in numerous television shows. His recent roles have been in the films “The Corruptor” in 1999, “The Ring” in 2002, “X2: X-Men United” in 2003, and others. In 2012, he won the Boston Film Festival in the category of Best Ensemble Cast. In 2020, he won the Mindfield Film Festival Albuquerque in the category of Diamond Award – Best Narrator.
