In 2001 they released their debut album with the label Noise Factory Records titled Feel Good Lost. In 2002 they released their second album titled You Forgot It in People that was produced by David Newfeld and released through Paper Bag Records. In 2003 the album won a Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year and was certified Gold in Canada. They released their third album in 2005 titled Broken Social Scene that was also certified gold in Canada and won a Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year. In 2010 they released their fourth studio album titled Forgiveness Rock Record that reached number one on the Canadian album chart. Their fifth studio album, and most recent, was released in 2017 titled Hug of Thunder. They have also released six EPs and a number of singles.
