Cameron Norrie Bio

Cameron Isaiah Norrie is a professional tennis player born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on August 23, 1995. He studied Sociology at Texas Christian University, finishing his college career as the number one collegiate player in the nation. He made his professional debut in 2017. James Trotman and Facundo Lugones coaches him.


Cameron won his debut Davis Cup match in Spain against Roberto Bautista Agut in 2018. He entered the Top 10 in April 2022 and had his highest ranking (No. 9) in August 2022, becoming the fourth Top-10 Brit after Tim Henman, Andy Murray, and Greg Rusedski. He became the first British champion after winning the 2021 Indian Wells title.


Cameron defeated Dominic Thiem in 2021 Lyon 2R, Stefanos Tsitsipas in 2022 Acapulco SF, and Carlos Alcaraz in 2022 Cincinnati QF. His Grand Slam singles record includes the Australian Open 3R (2021), the French Open 3R (2021, 2022), the Wimbledon SF (2022), and the US Open 4R (2022). He reached the quarterfinal of the Davis Cup in 2021.
