Carlos Santana Bio

Carlos Santana is a guitarist born on 20th July 1947 in Autlan, Julisco, Mexico. He gained fame in the ‘60s and ‘70s with the music band Santana. The band is credited for pioneering the blend of Latin American Jazz and Rock and roll. He released his debut album, titled “Love Devotion Surrender” in 1973. The following year, he released an album titled “Illuminations” in collaboration with Alice Coltrane. His third album, “Inner Secrets” was released in 1978.

His other studio albums include “Oneness – Silver Dreams Golden Reality” in 1979, “The Swings of Delight” in 1980, “Havana Moon” in 1983, “Blues for Salvador” in 1987, and “Santana Brothers” in 1993. He also released several live albums, with the most popular being “Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles! Live!” in 1972 and “Carlos Santana and Wayne Shorter” in 2005.
