Carol Vorderman Bio

Carol Vorderman is a British TV personality, born on December 24, 1960, in Bedfordshire, England. She became popular for hosting the game show Countdown as co-presenter alongside Richard Whiteley and remained with the show for 26 years earning an MBE for her contribution to broadcasting. She has also hosted the program Loose Women, in 1999.

Carol has a BA in engineering from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. She is also an established author with numerous educational and health books. In 1996, she appeared as a presenter on Entertainment Today, and after that, she continued to work in that capacity for various ITV shows like Pride of Britain Awards, Better Homes, and Britain’s Brainiest Kid. She published her first book in 1991, titled Maths Made Easy: Ages 6-7. Key Stage 1. In 2001, she published her bestseller, Detox for Life: The 28 Day Detox Diet and Beyond. In 2006, Carol received an Honorary Degree (MA) from the University of Bath, and in 2011 and 2014, she was voted UK Female Rear of the Year. She was also briefly a backing vocal for the pop group Dawn Chorus and the Blue Tits fronted by radio DJ Liz Kershaw.
