Caroline Spence Bio
Caroline Spence is a singer/songwriter born in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is a native and has been there since birth. Caroline has a pure talent for storytelling in her songs which made her unique and thoughtful songs even more appealing. In 2013 Spence released You Know The Feeling, a six-song EP. She won the American Songwriter’s Lyric Contest in the same year which further established her on the folk club circuit and the National Festival. She picked up another win in 2014 at the Kerrville Folk Festival.
She released her debut album Somehow in 2015 which won her a lot of fans worldwide. Spades & Roses followed in 2017 after which Spence signed a big contract with the Rounder Records label. Her first album for the label, Mint Condition featured Emmylou Harris as a guest and the album was released in 2019. Spence won a number of songwriting awards from the Kerrville Folk Festival, and she has won the praises and admiration of esteemed artists like Miranda Lambert.
