Multi award-winning rapper/producer/songwriter Juicy J, (born Jordan Michael Houston) is a Tennessee-born founding member of the hip-hop group, Three 6 Mafia. Members included DJ Paul, Lord Infamous, Crunchy Black, Gangsta Boo, and Koopsta Knicca. In the early 1990’s when rap was dominated by East and West Coasts, the group’s following brought more attention to the hip-hop scene of the South. The group won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for their work on, ‘It’s Hard out Here for a Pimp.’ J frequently collaborated with Wiz Khalifa on numerous mixtapes, and secured a place in Khalifa’s Taylor Gang imprint. Signing with Columbia Records in 2012 brought about the album Stay Trippy, which included appearances by Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, and Big Sean, among others. Numerous singles have been released since, such as, ‘Low (featuring Nicki Minaj), and ‘For Everybody (featuring Wiz Khalifa and R. City).’
