Carrie Alexandra Coon is an American actress best known for her work in film, television, and stage. She was born in Copley, Ohio, United States, on January 24, 1981.
Carrie began her acting career in 2006 when she performed in the theatrical production of Romeo and Juliet, Our Town, and Measure for Measure, and she made her screen acting debut in 2001 when she appeared in an episode of the TV series The Playboy Club. She has since had recurring roles in the TV series Fargo, The Sinner, and The Leftovers. Carrie’s filmography includes Avengers: Infinity War, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, The Post, Widows, and The Keeping Hours, but she is best known for starring in the drama-mystery film Gone Girl alongside Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, and Tyler Perry.
Carrie won a Critics Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series, a Gold Derby Award for Performer of the Year, and an Online Film & Television Association Award for Best Breakthrough Performance – Female.
