Charlbi Dean Kriek, or just Charlbi Dean, is a South African model and actress, born February 5, 1990, in Cape Town. She began her modeling career in the 2000s, and as a model, she has done editorials, covers, and campaigns for Elle, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Victoria's Secret. But, she is perhaps most known as Syonide in the superhero drama television series Black Lightning, developed by Salim Akil. Charlbi began her acting career in the early 2010s appearing in the comedy Spud, directed by Donovan Marsh.
Two years later, she starred in the action film Death Race: Inferno. Since then, she has made appearances in film and television such as Blood in the Water, Elementary, Don`t Sleep, An Interview with God, Porthole, Triangle of Sadness, and others.
