Cheryl Ladd Bio

Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor, popular as Cheryl Ladd, is an actress, singer, and author born on July 12, 1951, in Huron, South Dakota, USA. She is best known for replacing Farrah Fawcett-Majors as Kris Munroe in ABC's Charlie's Angels from 1977 to 1981. She voiced Melody Valentine on the CBS musical animated series Josie and the Pussycats.

In 1974, Cheryl was featured as Cindy Shea in an episode of ABC's Happy Days. In September 2000, she starred on Broadway in Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun. In 2010, Cheryl received the TV Land Pop Culture Award for Charlie's Angels with Jaclyn Smith. In 2016, she was featured in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story as Linell Shapiro.

Her recent credits include A Cowgirl's Song, Christmas Unwrapped, Grounded for Christmas, The Christmas Contract, Malibu Dan the Family Man, and Ballers. She has published two books, including the children's book The Adventures of Little Nettie Windship (1996) and an autobiography Token Chick: A Woman's Guide to Golfing With the Boys (2005). Her discography includes Josie and the Pussycats (1970), Cheryl Ladd (1978), and Dance Forever (1979), released under Capitol Records.
