Christine Margaret Sinclair is a professional soccer player born on June 12, 1983, in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. She spent her youth career at the Burnaby South Secondary School from 1994 to 2000. She had her college career with Portland Pilots, making 94 appearances and scoring 110 goals.
Christine made her senior debut for Vancouver Breakers in 2001 in the USL W-League. She joined the Portland Thorns in 2013 and has appeared in 157 matches. She has won the NWSL Championship, NWSL Shield: 2016, NWSL Challenge Cup, NWSL Community Shield, and International Champions Cup with the club.
Christine made her national debut for Canada in 2000, appearing in 315 matches and scoring 190 goals. She has won a gold medal (Tokyo 2021) and two bronze medals (London 2012 and Rio 2016) at the Olympic Games. She was the second footballer to represent Canada at five FIFA Women's World Cups. Christine has won ten CONCACAF medals and two Pan American Games. She is FIFA All-Time Scoring Record Holder. Her accolades include the Canadian Player of the Decade, Lou Marsh Award, Bobbie Rosenfeld Award, Olympic Golden Boot, and MAC Hermann Trophy.
