Christopher Heyerdahl Bio

Christopher Heyerdahl is a Canadian actor of Norwegian and Scottish descent. Born in 1963, the actor is from British Columbia, Canada and speaks fluent Norwegian and studied at the University of Oslo. Best known for his recurring role as the Swede in AMC’s Hell on Wheels, the post American Civil War drama was well received.

Heyerdahl is also well known for playing the demon Alastair in the horror television show Supernatural alongside Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins.  With roles in American television shows such as Smallville and Sanctuary he played Dieter Braun in the horror television series True Blood alongside Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. He is best known for playing Marcus in the feature film New Moon an adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s novel of the same name, He reprised the role in the Breaking Dawn Films and most recently had a role in the hit show The Librarians.
