Clipse is an American hip-hop duo, formed by brothers No Malice and Pusha T, in Virginia Beach in 1992. They were born in The Bronx but moved to Virginia Beach. In the early 1990’s they were introduced to Pharrell Williams, one-half of the production team The Neptunes. Williams was impressed by their talents and decided to help them, by hooking them up with the Elektra label in 1996.
Williams together with his partner Chad Hugo produced the Clipse’s debut full-length album titled Lord Willin’ in 2002. Later the duo was signed to The Neptunes’ imprint Star Trek Entertainment. The lead single from the album titled Grindin’ hit the Top Ten of the R&B/Hip-Hop and Billboard 200 charts and later went gold. They have released a series of mixtapes and have set up their Re-Up label. In 2006, they released their second album titled Hell Hath No Fury, featuring The Neptunes. In 2009, they signed with Columbia and released the album Til the Casket Drops. The album’s collaborators included The Neptunes, Kanye West, DJ Khalid, and Keri Hilson.
