Collard, also known as Josh Collard, was born and raised in South London, England. The upcoming 24-year old singer/rapper/songwriter was brought up in a strict Mormon household where music allowed him to leave his restrictive values, inspiring his vulnerable and self-reflective music. In 2017, he then released his first single ‘Sofa’ which now has over 2 million plays on Spotify. In 2018, his single ‘Ode’ gained recognition on music platform Color x Studios where he performed a live version on YouTube. i-D praises Collard, stating that he “channels deep emotions, an old soul and an easy vulnerability that you can’t help but be moved by.”.
