Darius Slay Bio

Darius Demetrius Slay Jr., better known as Darius Slay, is an American professional football player who plays in the NFL as a cornerback. He was born in Brunswick, Georgia, United States, on January 1, 1991. Darius spent his formative years at Brunswick High School and Mississippi State University where he transitioned from running back, to defensive back, and eventually, to a cornerback. He took part in the 2013 NFL Combine, and he was selected by the Detroit Lions in the subsequent Draft. During his time in Detroit, Darius played alongside David Ackers, Nate Burleson, Riley Reiff, and Theo Riddick. He was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021. His career highlights include 3 Pro Bowls, NFL interceptions leader, and inclusion in the First-team All-Pro.
