Darwin Núñez Bio
Darwin Gabriel Núñez Ribeiro, better known as Darwin Núñez, is a Uruguayan professional soccer player who plays as a striker in Europe’s top leagues. He was born in Artigas, Uruguay, on June 24, 1999.
Darwin spent his formative years with the youth setups at La Luz, San Miguel de Artigas, and Peñarol. He turned professional in 2019 when he signed with Peñarol’s first team, and he has since represented Almería in the Spanish La Liga, Benfica in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, and Liverpool in the English Premier League.
Throughout his time with Liverpool, Darwin played alongside Mohamed Salah, Luis Díaz, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk. He also plays as Uruguay’s main striker in international competition.
