David Anthony Mann Sr., best known as David Mann, is an American actor, comedian, musical artist, a producer best known for his work in film, theatre, and television. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas, United States, on August 7, 1966. David became famous for his reprisal of the character Leroy Brown, also known as Mr. Brown, in Tyler Perry’s cinematic and theatrical universe. He made his film debut in the 2008 film Meet the Browns, and his filmography now includes the blockbusters Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail, Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family, and Tyler Perry's A Madea Homecoming. David has also been a regular on the TV series Tyler Perry's Assisted Living, The VeggieTales Show, Mann and Wife, and House of Payne, but he is best known for starring in the comedy series Meet the Browns alongside Denise Boutte, Tamela J. Mann, Lamman Rucker, and Logan Browning. As a musical artist, David’s discography includes the singles Ups and Downs, Good Love, You, Us Against the World, and the studio projects Us Against the World, Good love, and Under Observation.
