Davion De'Monte Earl Mitchell, better known as Davion Mitchell, is an American professional basketball player who plays as a point guard in the NBA. He was born in Hinesville, Georgia, United States, on September 5, 1998. Davion spent his developmental years playing for Liberty County High School, the Tigers of Auburn University, and the Bears from Baylor University. He turned professional in 2021 when he was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA Draft. Throughout his career in Sacramento, Davion played alongside Buddy Hield, Tristan Thompson, Neemias Queta, and Damian Jones. His career highlights include NCAA Champion, NABC Defensive Player of the Year, Naismith Defensive Player of the Year, Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, and Big 12 All-Newcomer Team.
