Diane Lane Bio
Diane Lane, born Diane Colleen Lane on January the 2nd 1965 in New York City, is an American actress. With a career that began in 1971, her first screen role came in 1979 with A Little Romance. Her most noteworthy film to date is 2002’s Unfaithful, n which she played Connie Sumer alongside the likes of Richard Gere and Chad Lowe. The film was a critical and commercial hit, earning her an Academy Award, Golden Globe and SAG Award nomination.
She has also starred in such critically acclaimed films as The Outsiders, A Walk on the moon, The Perfect Storm and Under the Tuscan Sun. More recently she has become well known for her role as Martha Kent in the DC Comics films, Man of Steel and the subsequent sequels.
