DJ Drama Bio
Born in 1978, DJ Drama (Tyree Cinque Simmons) is a DJ from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. DJ Drama started off in 2003 with DJ Sense and Don Cannon in the Aphilliates Music Group, releasing mix tapes by the name of “Gangsta Grillz”. After doing some mix and production work for other artists, DJ Drama released his first full album, which was named after his mix tape series: “Gangsta Grillz: The Album” in 2007. This would be followed up with “Gangsta Grillz: The Album (Vo. 2)” two years later. In 2013, DJ Drama won the BET Hip Hop Award for DJ of the Year.
