Dorothy Perpetua Gatacre, known as Dolly Wells, is an English actress, writer, producer, and director who was born on December 5, 1971, in Merton, London. She made her debut on tv in 1997 when she appeared on an episode of the tv series “The Bill”. In 2000 she played Woney in the famous movie “Bridget Jones’s Diary”, starring Renée Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Hugh Grant. She is known for her appearances in multiple comedies, such as “Star Stories”, “Campus”, “Spy” “Some Girls” and “Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy” which she starred in 2012 alongside Noel and Michael Fielding. She is most popular for starring and creating the series “Doll & Em”, where she plays Dolly opposite Emily Mortimer. She is also a regular in the series 2015 “Blunt Talk”. In 2020 she was nominated in the best actress category at the SAG awards for the miniseries “Dracula”.
