Dontari Poe’s birthplace is Memphis, Tennessee and he was born on August 18, 1990. He was the 11th overall pick of the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2012 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract with a fifth-year option with the team. He was chosen for the annual Pro Bowl in 2013 and 2014. He was also selected as a second-team All-Pro in 2013.
After his stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, Poe signed a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons. He opted to join the Carolina Panthers in 2018, and he signed a three-year contract with the team.
He went to the University of Memphis and played for the Memphis Tigers. He was redshirted in his freshman year in 2009. He was the honorable mention for the All-Conference-USA during his sophomore year.
