Dzeko & Torres Bio

Dzeko & Torres was a Canadian DJ duo from 2007 to 2016. The duo was made of Luis Torres and Julian Dzeko. Their style has been described as a fusion of progressive house and electro, with heavy influences from artists like Avicii, Alesso and Umek. In 2008 they released their first single “Confronted” on a compilation album made by DJ Chuckie. Two years later, one of their songs titled “Again” was remixed by famous DJ Joe Ghost, which earned them further recognition. In 2012, they remixed the song “King and Lionheart” of the Icelandic folk band Of Monsters and Men. Their track reached number one on the influential music blog Hype Machine, which gained them the public attention. Their first breakthrough came when one of their tracks got played at DJ Tiësto’s Club Life show. They released their first EP “Hey!” on Dim Mak Records. They went on tour several times in Europe and in the U.S. and they have played in major festivals such as The BPM Festival, Coachella and The Electric Zoo Festival. They released several more hits from 2013 to 2016 before they suspended their partnership to focus on their solo projects.
