Elevation Worship is a contemporary music ensemble that plays songs about faith in Jesus Christ and other religious topics but in a rock and pop style. The ensemble started playing at the Elevation Church from Charlotte, North Carolin in 2010 but it was until 2006 that the pastor Steven Furtick decided to officially form a musical group with the guitarists and singers Chris Brown, Mack Brock, and Wade Joye. In this same year, the ensemble released its debut album “Live Worship” with an independent label owned by the church. In 2011 they released the album “For The Honor” through their new label Essential Records and distributed by Sonic Music. This album reached the top 19 of Christian album charts while the album “Nothing Is Wasted”, released in 2013, reached the top one. In 2018 the album Hallelujah Here Below was nominated for Grammy's Awards as Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.
