Scandal Bio

Scandal is an all-female Japanese rock band from Osaka in Japan. They formed in 2006 in Osaka. The group consists of Haruna Ono (guitar), Tomomi Ogawa (bass), Mami Sasazaki (guitar), and Rina Suzuki (drums). They began to play in local clubs and eventually secured a joint deal with Kitty and Tower Records after a terrific show in Shibuya.

They released their debut single Space Ranger in 2008, and it quickly sold out. That brought a lot of attention and fame to Scandal and they soon toured overseas playing in the US in 2008 and Seattle, as well as in Taiwan and in France. Doll is their major debut album and they released eight other albums between 2009 and 2018. They also sang several theme songs for animes including Harukaze and Shōjo S (2009) for Bleach and Shunkan Sentimental for Fullmetal Alchemist: brotherhood. They also appeared in a number of commercials, including one for Nike.
