Elias Koteas Bio
Elias was born on March 11 1961 in Montreal Canada. His high school was at Outremont High School. Elias first enrolled in Vanier College, Montreal before he left to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York in 1981. Ellen Burstyn and Peter Masterson were his tutors when he attended the Actors Studio New York.
He debuted in 1985 in a movie titled One Magic Christmas. He then had brief stints appearing on Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Cherry Orchard, Bent and The Death of a Salesman. His brilliant act in the 1988 Malarek won him a nomination for a Genie (Canada’s Academy Award) in 1989. He got a big break in 1990 when he played vigilante Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: The Movie.
Elias was a very popular Canadian actor appearing in many US and Canadian movies.
