Ellen Allien Bio
Ellen Allien is the stage name of German DJ and music producer Ellen Fraatz. She was born in 1968, in West Berlin, Germany. She began her musical career in 1992, when she started playing as a DJ at major clubs in Berlin. In 1997, Fraatz launched her own record company called “BPitch Control”. A few years later, she released her first album “Stadtkind” soon followed by the second album “Berlinette”. In 2006, she released the album “Orchestra of Bubbles” besides forming the duo Ellen Alien & Apparat, alongside German producer Sascha Ring. In 2020, she released her eleventh solo album called “AurAA”. She has performed at major festivals across the world, including Coachella, Movement, NAME, Awakenings, Loveland, Melt! And many others.
