Erin Doherty Bio

Erin Doherty is a British actress born in 1992 in Crawley, West Sussex, England. She trained at the Guildford School of Acting and the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and earned the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year Award as a student. She had her TV debut in 2016 in the "Call the Midwife" TV series and followed two years later with an appearance at the BBC "Les Misérables" miniseries adaptation. That year she was named "International Star of Tomorrow" by Screen Daily, and "Rising Star" by the Evening Standard. Doherty eventually gained much notoriety by being cast as young Princess Anne in the 2019 series "The Crown." The young actress has also been a critically acclaimed theater actress since graduating Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2015.
