Esham Smith is an American rapper and record producer born in Long Island, New York on September 20, 1973. Smith is one of the first hip-hop artists from Detroit, Michigan and is considered to be a pioneer of Detroit hip-hop and horrorcore. He is known for using elements of rock music in his songs and refers to his style of music as acid rap. Esham released his debut studio album in 1989 at 16 years old titled Boomin’ Words from Hell. He has since released the albums Judgement Day, KKKill the fetus, Closed Casket, Dead Flowerz, Bruce Wayne: Gothom City 1987, Mail Dominance, Tongues, Repentance, A-1 Yola, Martyr Sity, Sacrificial Lambz, I Ain’t Cha Homey, Scribble, and more. Esham has released 15 studio albums, 8 EPs, 5 mixtapes, and 3 compilation albums. He has also released 8 albums with the hip-hop group Natas.
