Fabio Cannavaro is a soccer coach and former football player born on 13th September 1973 in Naples, Italy. He is considered one of the best defenders ever. The center-back spent most of his time in Italy, starting his professional career at Napoli before moving to Parma for a seven-year stint. While at Parma, he won Coppa Italia twice, the 1999 UEFA Cup and Supercoppa Italiana (1999). He also played for Juventus and Inter Milan. 2006 he moved to Real Madrid alongside Fabio Capello before returning to Juventus in 2009–10. He shortly went to Al-Ahli before retiring in 2011.
Noteworthy is that Cannavaro won the 1994 and 1996 UEFA European Under-21 Championships. He also led the Italy national team to the 2006 FIFA World Cup victory in Germany. In 2009, he was the most capped player. After his retirement in 2010, he took coaching roles in China and the Middle East.
