Rapper/singer Fetty Wap rose to stardom with his hit, ‘Trap Queen,’ in 2014. The single peaked at the No. 2 spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Willie Maxwell II, a New Jersey native, was given the name Fetty Wap - a combination of the slang term for ‘money,’ and tribute to Gucci Mane’s alias, GuWop. ‘Trap Queen,’ became a platinum record and since then Fetty Wap signed with 300 Entertainment, under which he released, ‘679,’ and ‘My Way,’ which would make the top-ten list on the Billboard Hot 100. He became the first male rapper, since Eminem, to have four songs on the top twenty spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The rapper has won an MC100 Award, MTV Video Music Award, and BET Hip-Hop Award, among various other nominations.
