Framing Hanley Bio

Framing Hanley is an American alternative rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. Vocalist and songwriter Kenneth Nixon, drummer Chris Vest, guitarist Brandon Wooten and Tim Huskinson and bassist Luke McDuffee came together in 2005 to form Framing Hanley and gained a sizable local following in Tennessee. As they rose to local fame and began to post demos on their MySpace page, they were quickly discovered by former Creed bass player Brett Hestla. Hestla contacted the group and aided them in recording a two song demo which he eventually showed his record label Silent Majority Group. Framing Hanely were signed to Silent Majority Group in 2006 and by 2007, the band released their debut album, ‘The Moment’. Their sophomore album, ‘A Promise to Burn’, arrived in 2009 and in the same year, the band won a Top In Rock Award for Best Modern Rock Band. Although the band began to receive critical acclaim, Framing Hanley struggled with their record label and created a Kickstarter campaign to help fun their upcoming album. By 2014, the successful fan funded album ‘The Sum of Who We Are’ was released and shortly after, bassist Luke McDuffee departed from the band. Framing Hanley announced that the band would be going on hiatus in 2015 and by 2018, the band reunited. After a long break, the band released their latest album, ‘Envy’ via Thermal Enterntainment in February 2020. The current members of the band are guitarists Ryan Belcher and Nic Brooks, bassist Jonathan Stoye, drummer Shad Teems and Kenneth Nixon on vocals, who is the only founding member to remain in Framing Hanley.
