Friendly Fires are British indie rock band. They formed in 2006, in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England, and the band is composed of Ed Macfarlane, Jack Savidge and Edd Gibson. They released their first records on the label Skam. In 2007, they appeared on television for the first time and their hit single “Paris” made it to The Guardian Newspaper as Single of the Week. During their first interview on television, the band named Prince and Carl Craig as their greatest musical influences. In 2008, their single “On Board” was broadcasted on Nintendo’s commercial in North America, which increased their popularity. At the end of that same year, they released their first self titled studio album which included their first singles. Their record got certified double gold in the U.K. and they were nominated for several awards. From there on, their career rocketed, releasing several hits, and two more award- winning albums, “Pala” and “Inflorescent”.
