G. Love & Special Sauce Bio
G. Love & Special Sauce is an American alternative hip hop band formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1992. The members of the band are Garrett Dutton on vocals and guitar, Jim Prescott on bass guitar, and Jeffrey Clemens on drums. In 1994 they released their debut studio album self-titled G. Love and Special Sauce. They have since released the albums Coast to Coast Motel, Yeah, It’s That Easy, Philadelphonic, Electric Mile, Superhero Brother, Sugar, and Love Saves the Day. They have also released two compilation albums and one live album. The band has released their music and albums with the labels Brushfire, 550 Music, and Okeh. G. Love & Special Sauce is known for their laid back blues and R&B sound. The band has collaborated with a number of bands and musicians, including Philly Cartel, Dr. John, King’s Court, All Fellas Band and others.
