Gabrielle Lisa Thomas is a distinguished American track and field athlete, specializing in the 100 and 200-meter sprint events. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, on December 7, 1996.
During her four-year tenure at Williston Northampton School, Thomas left an indelible mark, setting numerous school records. Her athletic prowess continued to shine at Harvard, where she clinched an impressive 22 conference titles over three years, spanning six different events. Notably, Thomas established school and Ivy League records in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and the indoor 60 meters.
Thomas earned global recognition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, securing a bronze medal in the 200m and a silver as a pivotal member of the women's 4 × 100m relay team, alongside Javianne Oliver, Jenna Prandini, and Teahna Daniels. Further solidifying her status, Thomas claimed the 200m silver medal at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest on August 25, clocking an impressive 21.81 seconds. Her exceptional performance continued with a gold medal in the women's 4x100m relay, where Team USA set a championship record of 41.03 seconds.
