Genesis Owusu Bio
Kofi Owusu-Ansah (who’s popularly known by his moniker Genesis Owusu) is a Ghanaian-Australian singer and rapper who was born on April 17th, 1998 in Koforidua, Eastern Ghana. Citizen Kay is his brother.
Genesis was born in Ghana but his parents moved to Australia when he was 2. Genesis’ debut studio album ‘Smiling with No Teeth’ was released on March 5th, 2021 and it was preceded by over 60 hours of recording. He performed an opening act at 5 Seconds of Summer’s sold-out benefit concert in Sydney, Australia. His song ‘WUTD’ was featured in a Bose commercial for their Noise Cancelling Headphones back in October 2019 and his other track ‘Sideways’ had a national rotation on Triple J.
Some of his popular EPs include 2017’s Cardrive, 2020’s I Am and The Other Black Dog, 2021’s Gold Chains, Drown, Same Thing, and Waitin’ on Ya (remix).
