Georges Niang Bio

Georges Niang is a basketball player who plays for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on 17th July 1993 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, United States, Niang attended The Tilton School, where he finished his career as one of the best players at the school. He was named the NEPSAC Class AA Player of the Year in 2012. He received many offers but decided to commit to Iowa State. He was called to the Big 12 All-Rookie team in his freshman year.

He wanted to enter the 2015 NBA Draft but quickly decided against it, eventually returning to his senior school. His college career includes numerous achievements, such as being the first player to reach NCAA tournaments four times and the first player to be named All-American twice. Niang started his professional career with the Indiana Pacers on 23rd June 2016. Santa Cruz Warriors then signed him in 2017 as an affiliate player. On 14th January 2018, he signed a two-way contract with Utah Jazz. On 9th August 2021, he moved to the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-year deal.
