GothamChess Bio
Levy Rozman, who is better known by his online avatar GothamChess, is an International Chess Master and commentator. He was born on 5th December 1995 in Brooklyn, New York. At 6, he started playing chess as an extracurricular activity. Within a year, he started playing tournaments. In 2011, he earned the National Masters title through the US Chess Federation. He also earned the FIDE Master and International Master titles in 2016 and 2018 respectively. His channel GothamChess is popular on Twitch and YouTube with over 1.75 million subscribers on the latter. It was the highest subscribed chess channel in 2022. This also earned him a Streamer Award nomination for Best Chess Streamer in the same year. He has been associated with chess.com as a streaming partner since 2017. Besides a highly viewed online channel, he also became a globally acclaimed chess player after defeating Dewa Kipas, an Indonesian chess player.
