Graham Norton Bio

Graham Norton was born on April 4, 1963 in Clondalkin, Dublin. Norton has many different career paths such as radio host, appearing on television, films, game-show host, and a writer. Norton first performed on radio in the 1990s on BBC Radio 4 with a regular spot on Loose Ends. He also appeared many times on Channel 4 and Channel 5 in Father Ted, So Graham Norton, and V Graham Norton. On Channel 5 there was a late-night TV talk show hosted by Jack Docherty, and Norton was the stand-in for Docherty. Because of that role, he won an award.

Norton was known for his comedic roles, he moved his career to Comedy Central on his show The Graham Norton Effect. During that time he was listed in the Top 1000 Funniest Acts in The Observer.

After Comedy Central, Norton began hosting various shows on BBC. He appeared on Strictly Dance Fever, Graham Norton’s Bigger Picture, CBeebies, The One and Only, Totally Saturday, and Who Do You Think You Are?. Norton also played in a few films, Another Gay Movie and I Could Never Be Your Woman.

He was made the host for a game-show called Most Popular and a writer for The Daily Telegraph, as well as publishing his book, Holding, that won the Popular Fiction Book of the Year award in 2016.
