Han Xu Bio
Han Xu is a basketball player who currently plays for the New York Liberty, which competes in the Women’s National Basketball Association. Born on 31st October 1999 in Hebei, China, Xu started her professional career with the New York Liberty after being selected with the 14th overall pick in the 2019 WNBA draft. She was the youngest player to be drafted that year and was the second-tallest basketball player in history behind Margo Dydek.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was announced that Xu would remain in China. She went on to become the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2021 and 2022. She participated in the 2022 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup and was named Google All-Star Five. She helped her home country to win their first silver medal since 1994. She posted a career-high for her country in the semifinal match against Australia.
