Hawthorne Heights Bio

Hawthorne Heights (formed in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio in 2001) is a rock band most renowned for their albums, The Silence in Black and White, If Only You Were Lonely, and Fragile Future.

In 2003, Hawthorne Heights signed with Chicago label Victory Records. In 2004, the band released their powerful full-length debut titled, The Silence in Black and White. The album became Victory's highest-selling debut, and its lead single, "Ohio Is for Lovers," slowly invaded rock radio. Their second album, released in 2006, was titled If Only You Were Lonely.

In November 2007, Hawthorne Heights guitarist, and screamer of the band, Casey Calvert, lost his life while on tour, due to an accidental overdose of medications prescribed by his doctor and dentist. On August 5 2008, Hawthorne Heights returned with their third album titled, Fragile Future. The members chose the title Fragile Future, because it summed up the current state of our band, as well as what was going on in the outside world.
