Hoobastank is an American rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California in 1994. They are best known for their singles “Running Away”, “Crawling in the Dark”, and “The Reason.” The current members of the band are Douglas Robb on lead vocals and guitar, Daniel Estrin on lead guitar, Jesse Charland on bass guitar and keyboard, and Chris Hesse on drums and percussion. In 1995 they released their debut EP titled Untitled Demo #1 and have since released the EPs Untitled Demo #2, Muffins, and The Target EP. They independently released their debut studio album in 1998 titled They Sure Don’t Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To. In 2001 they were signed to the label Island Records and released the albums Hoobastank, The Reason, Every Man for Himself, and For(N)ever. They left Island Records in 2012 and released the albums Fight or Flight with the label Open E and Push Pull with Napalm. Hoobastank has also released one live album, three compilation albums, and three video albums. Their albums have sold over 10 million copies worldwide.
