Ion Dissonance Bio
Ion Dissonance is a mathcore band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Its members include Sebastien Chaput, Antoine Lussier, Kevin McCaughey, Dominic Grimard, and Jean-Francois Richard. Former membership includes Miguel Valade, Sebastien Painchaud, Gabriel McCaughry, and Xavier St-Laurent. The band got together in 2001 and released a demo called .357. They then signed with Willowtip Records. The band then opened up for such acts as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die, Daughters, Misery Index, The End, and The Black Dahlia Murder.
In 2003 Ion Dissonance released their first LP called Breathing is Irrelevant. In 2006 the group released their second album called Solace through Abacus Recordings. In 2007 Ion Dissonance released the album called Minus the Herd. After touring extensively the group released their fourth album called Cursed. They followed up this album with another called Cast the First Stone.
