Ishan Kishan Bio

Ishan Kishan is a professional cricketer who currently plays for Jharkhand and Mumbai Indians in domestic cricket and IPL (Indian Premier League), respectively. Born on 18th July 1998 in Patna, Bihar, India, Kishan draws inspiration from Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist and former Indian team captain M.S Dhoni. He made his debut for Jharkhand in December 2014. The best performance in his domestic career came in November 2016, when he scored 273 runs against Delhi.

After leading India at the U19 World Cup in 2016 and finishing in the runner’s up position, he was signed by Gujarat Lions. In two seasons, he played 16 games, scoring only 319 runs. In 2018, he signed with Mumbai Indians for a whopping INR 5.5 crore, making him the second most expensive player at the auction in India.
