Ivy Queen Bio

Ivy Queen is the stage name of the Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer Martha Ivelisse Pesante Rodriguez. She was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico on March 4, 1972. She started her music career performing with the group The Noise. She went solo in 1996 and released her debut studio album En Mi Imperio in 2017. She was quickly signed to the label Sony Discos. She has since released the albums The Original Rude Girl, Diva, Real, Flashback, Sentimiento, Drama Queen, Musa, Vendetta, and The Queen Is Here. Ivy has released 10 studio albums, 4 compilation albums, 7 EPs, and 1 live album. She has made appearances in the shows and documentaries, The Drop, My Block: Puerto Rico, One Nation – Under Hip Hop, Dub Latino, The Look, 18 & Over, mun2 Presents and others. In 2012 she made her acting debut in the play The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler. Throughout her career she has been nominated for a number of awards and has won two Billboard Latin Music Awards, four Broadcast Music, Inc, Awards, a Premios Juventud Award and more.
