Ja Morant Bio
Temetrius Jamel Morant, also known as Ja Morant, is an American professional basketball player born in Dalzell, South Carolina. He grew up in a sports family and stood out in basketball while attending Crestwood High School in Sumter, SC, earning the regional title of Most Valuable Player three times before college. He later joined the Murray State University Racers and made a name for himself by breaking the team record on triple-doubles in the 2018-2019 season. He also broke an NCAA record scoring 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals in a single game. In 2019 he was drafted by the NBA Memphis Grizzlies, earning the following year’s Rookie of the Year award for his performance with the team.
