Jacqueline Ruth Weaver AO, better known as Jacki Weaver, is an award-winning Australian actress best known for her work in film, television, and theatre. She was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on May 25, 1947.
Jacki began her acting career in the early 1960s when she acted in the theatrical release of A Wish is a Dream and the TV film Hansel and Gretel. She has since had recurring roles in the TV series Yellowstone, Bloom, Perpetual Grace, LTD, Secret City, Blunt Talk, Gracepoint, House Rules, The Challenge, Trial by Marriage, Homicide, and Water Under the Bridge. Jacki is best known for starring in the comedy-drama film Silver Linings Playbook alongside Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, and Chris Tucker. Her filmography also includes Life of the Party, Widows, The Five-Year Engagement, The Grudge, The Disaster Artist, Father Stu, Animal Kingdom, and Bird Box.
Jacki has won multiple awards for his acting, including an AACTA International Award for Best Supporting Actress, an Australian Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actress, and an Australian Film Institute Award for Best Lead Actress.
