Rapper Jadakiss was born Jason Phillips on May 27, 1975, and grew up in New York. He began to pursue a rap career by the age of 16, and in 1994, he and his friends Styles P. and Sheek Louch created the rap group The Warlocks. They signed a contract with Bad Boy Entertainment shortly before changing their name to The LOX. The rappers befriended The Notorious B.I.G. in the mid 1990s, and in 1998, released the Platinum-selling album Money, Power & Respect. 2001 saw the release of Jadakiss’ debut album Kiss The Game Goodbye, which he put out through Ruff Ryders/Interscope. His album featured guest vocals by artists such as DMX, Snoop Dogg, Eve, and others and spawned the very successful singles “Put Ya Hands Up”. He would go on to release the albums Kiss of Death in 2004, The Last Kiss in 2009, and Top 5, Dead Or Alive in 2014. Throughout his solo career, Jadakiss has had the opportunity to collaborate with such artists as Eminem, Anthony Hamilton, Mariah Carey, DJ Khaled, and countless others.
