Jake Tran (born June 13, 1998 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) is a Vietnamese-born American educational commentary YouTuber, entrepreneur, and social media personality. He is best known for sharing entrepreneurial video essays that discuss several educational topics like business and politics on his self-titled channel. Since creating his channel, he has amassed more than 1.8 million subscribers.
While in his high school, Jake enjoyed consuming tech YouTube content from channels like Linus Tech Tips and Marques Brownlee. When he learnt about the possibilties of YouTube earnings, brand deals, and sponsorships that could result from creating his own channel, Jake knew that this was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
In 2018, he released his YouTube debut video titled "Web Development Career: How I got $40/hr with NO DEGREE, NO EXPERIENCE." One of his most popular videos "How the Ultra Wealthy Evade Taxes with Fine Art" has been viewed more than 4 million times. He also uses the image of popular celebrities in his post. Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale have both appeared in some of his video thumbnails.
